Our organization had beginnings more than 100 years ago, but its formal birth was in 1903, as the "Buffalo Kennel Club." We were incorporated in 1931 and the name was changed to the
Kennel Club of Buffalo, Inc. We are an American Kennel Club (AKC) member club.
The mission of the club is to foster an understanding of the origins, purposes and standards of quality of the purebred dog.
Our club also provides public education activities and promotes responsible pet ownership.
The Kennel Club of Buffalo welcomes you to share in our love of dogs and the sport of dogs. Our members interests are varied such as:
agility
field trials
lure coursing
herding
tracking
conformation
obedience
therapy
The diversity of our members keeps our club meetings and activities fun and interesting. We welcome visitors to our monthly meetings and, above all, we encourage everyone to come to our Dog Show. There you will find excellent examples of every breed - and their devoted and enthusiastic owners.
